about
I made this album today, in the aftermath of another typhoon that passed by more or less unnoticed. Last night when it was raining hard I ran myself to exhaustion and then ran some more. It was perfect moment in its own cathartic way.
This album is mostly lingerings on the peace I felt last week when me and my friends took a trip to the mountains. I needed the mountains and the rivers more than I had given myself a permission to think of. Those forests made me think of the forests I grew up in, completely different but still exactly the same, singing the same songs here that they taught me as a child 7000 kilometres away. I feel grateful for the pain that drove me into the woods. It gave me something not a single human being can imitate or take away. Nature taught me everything I know.
